Donations of land are held
and managed to provide
maximum opportunities and
resources for creation of
habitat. A tax receipt is
issued for all donations
based on "fair market value"
at time of legal transfer to
the Foundation.
Bequeathments of land are
of land are accepted and
the tax receipt issued to
the estate. Permenant
cairnsare erected at each
property to recognize the
donors. Boundry signs are
erected and in some
strategic locations larger
highway signs are erected
to promote the programs of
the MWF Habitat Foundation.

The Vision
To establish a network of terrestrial
and aquatic habitats throughout agro Manitoba
to help sustain a variety and optimum populations
of species within the province.

A voluntary program between
landowners and the Foundation.
An agreement recognizes the
importance of the property for
native plants and animals
and includes a commitment
from the landowner to protect
the habitat to the best of their
ability. Either party may cancel
the agreement by written notice.
Boundary signage is provided by
the foundation.
